162 - La condanna di Anzu - The condemnation of Anzu

Ninurta tornò a Nibiru-ki ed annunciò la sua vittoria .

Le Tavolette furono riportate nella camera interna e reinstallate

al loro posto. Come per magia, la luminosità ritornò nella camera

ed il ronzio dei ME riempì di gioia Enlil.

Anzu fu portato dinanzi al cospetto dei Sette che Giudicano.

Enlil e la sua sposa Ninlil, Enki e la sua sposa, e i figli Nannar e

Marduk erano con loro. Anche Ninmah sedeva tra i giudici.

Ninurta raccontò della cattiva azione di Anzu, che aveva messo in

pericolo la stessa missione sulla Terra e chiese senza mezzi termini

che fosse condannato a morte.

Marduk parlò degli Igigi, ed affermò che era vero, gli Igigi avevano diritto

ad un luogo di riposo sulla Terra. Avrebbero dovuto trovare una soluzione.

Enlil, Enki e gli altri si dichiararono per la pena di morte.

“Sia condannato a morte per esecuzione! Un raggio letale gli tolga

la vita! Sia lasciato il suo corpo in pasto agli avvoltoi!”

Questa era la sentenza.

Ma Ninmah intervenne.

“Non venga lasciato agli avvoltoi, perché è sempre un discendente

di nobile stirpe. Sia invece condotto su Lamuh e posto a riposare accanto

alla grotta di Alalu! Infondo erano parenti.”

“Così sia!” dichiarò Enlil.

“Che Marduk lo conduca su Lamuh e vi si stabilisca come comandante!”

Disse Enki.

I giudici lo osservarono per un attimo, e subito dopo Enlil

accettò che tutto fosse così.

Anzu fu giustiziato.

Ma il problema degli Igigi non era ancora stato risolto. Il loro

malcontento rimaneva latente.
