La nostra società, quella di tutti noi, ha in sé eroi, santi, martiri, grandi personaggi storici e tantissimi maestri di vita. Da migliaia di anni a questa parte, non sono mai mancati grandi profeti, personaggi che ci hanno detto cosa è giusto e cosa è sbagliato. Uomini definiti saggi che hanno dedicato la loro vita ad insegnare le cose giuste. Governi, di ogni colore, ci hanno detto cosa fare e cosa non fare per vivere in una società illuminata. E noi li abbiamo sempre ascoltati ed abbiamo considerato che fossero parole sagge.
Abbiamo chiesto a loro di dirci cosa dobbiamo pensare.
Questo è il meccanismo che ci impedisce di essere consapevoli. Aspettiamo che ci sia un guru, un santo, un saggio, un governo che ci dica cosa è giusto, e poi eseguiamo quanto dicono, perché lo consideriamo giusto.
Ma in realtà cosa stiamo facendo?
Stiamo delegando la nostra vita a qualcun altro. Stiamo regalando la nostra mente a un guru, ad un santo, ad un saggio, ad un governo. In questo modo non abbiamo niente da pensare, non abbiamo niente da scegliere personalmente, accettiamo quanto ci viene dato meccanicamente, pensando che è giusto così.
Non ci siamo mai chiesti che cosa sia giusto veramente.


Our society, that of all of us, has itself heroes, saints, martyrs, great historical figures and many teachers of life. For thousands of years now, they have never missed the great prophets, people who have told us what is right and what is wrong. Called wise men who have dedicated their lives to teaching the right things. Governments, of all stripes, we were told what to do and what not to do in order to live in an enlightened society. And we have always listened to them and we have considered that they were wise words.We asked them to tell us what to think.This is the mechanism that prevents us from being aware. We expect there to be a guru, a saint, a sage, a government that tells us what is right, and then we carry out what they say, because we consider it right.But really what we're doing?We are delegating our lives to someone else. We are giving our minds to a guru, a saint, a sage, a government. In this way, we have nothing to think about, we have nothing to personally choose, we accept what we are given mechanically, thinking that this is right.We never asked ourselves what is really right.
